Jim Bowman Experiences Mechanical Issues at Jukasa Motor Speedway

After showing speed throughout practice and qualifying, Power To Go Motorsports was unable to get the result they wanted due to mechanical issues.

Jim Bowman would qualify the No. 63 Super Late Model in 12th, though gave up the starting position when the team decided to fix a lingering mechanical issue prior to the event.

Starting the 75-lap affair from the back, he looked poised to make up ground, but the familiar issues returned, resulting in Bowman backing into the wall and ending his day early.

The team will now focus on making the necessary repairs prior to their next outing.

Power To Go Motorsports is proud to be supported by Hanover Holidays, Re/Max Canada, Commerce associates Hall’s Heating and Cooling, Originals Sign and Graphics, and SST Motorsports.

Jim Bowman Endures Issues at Flamboro Speedway’s Gold Rush

After entering the Gold Rush with confidence following a solid test at Flamboro Speedway, things did not go how Power To Go Motorsports envisioned.

Qualifying 15th for the 100-lap event, he avoided an incident ahead of him in the early stages, moving up to the 11th position in the early stages. However, the problems began at Lap 15 as he’d drop back through the field, eventually heading pit side three laps later.

Bowman returned to the track under the first caution at Lap 20, moving into the 15th position with 77 laps to go. He’d continue to battle hard, though ultimately the issues sent him pit side once again on Lap 32, which would end his night prematurely. He would be credited with a 16th-place finish.

Jim Bowman Makes First Laps of 2017 Season

After working hard to get everything ready to go,  Power To Go Motorsports made their first laps on track this past weekend at Flamboro Speedway as part of the Don Biederman Memorial.

Starting seventh in the first of the pair of 25-lap features, he battled for position through the early laps, before being involved in a incident in turn three on Lap 2. With no damage sustained, Bowman was able to continue easily, running sixth after the restart. He was able to move up one spot to fifth after avoiding an incident ahead of him with six laps to go. Restarting inside the top-five, he battled hard en route to a fifth-place finish.

Starting eighth for the second feature, he started off strong, but ran into mechanical problems on Lap 3, forcing him to pull off the track. As a result, he was credited with an eighth-place finish.

Following a fifth and an eighth on the night, Bowman was credited with sixth in the overall rankings.

Jim Bowman Just Misses Top-10 at Peterborough

jimbowman_morganamberAfter some time off from the tour to make repairs, Jim Bowman returned to the OSCAAR Super Late Model Series this past weekend at Peterborough Speedway.

The veteran was able to run solidly in his heats and was looking for a good run come feature time. Unfortunately, the feature didn’t go smoothly as there were some incidents, with Bowman getting caught up in one which ended his race. As a result, he’d pick up a 12th place finish.

Bowman isn’t going to let the disappointment get him down, set to make the trip to Full Throttle Motor Speedway this weekend to take part in the non-points event on the tight oval.

Jim Bowman Suffers Mechanical Issue at Flamboro

Bowman started off the night by finishing fourth and fifth in his heats, setting him up solidly for the feature.

The veteran ran just outside of the top-five throughout the feature, till he spun entering turn one on Lap 31 after an apparent mechanical issue, making contact with the outside wall. He’d be credited with an eighth place finish at the end of the event.

The team will focus on repairs and taking what they learned from the night forward with them to Delaware Speedway on July 22.
